9/11 Tribute

Posted on September 11, 2006

In Memory and in Honor of my cousin David Weiss who perished 9/11.
He was a true Hero and Firefighter extraordinaire from Rescue 1
and my Friend and Doorman David Tirado who had just left here
to take a new job at Cantor Fitzgerald.
You are missed by all who knew you…

Thank you for pointing to the most powerful compilation of pictures and recordings from that day. Being on the West Coast, it was a surreal moment. The pain, the disbelief, and the sheer audacity was overwhelming. We have more to do to bring these cowards to justice, but I firmly believe we are closer than we realize. God bless those who lost and those who gave; God bless those who continue to fight and seek justice.

A powerful memorial/tribute. I’ll never forget that day, dressing for work and staring in horror at the TV. May this country Never Forget. Thank you for reminding us in such a moving way.

I stopped by you web to see your new line of clothes . I have a beautiful daughter and xmas is comming I thought it would be a great gift . But the real gift I found was your tribute to 9-11. One of my sons is currently serving his 3rd tour in Iraq. Sometimes we all need to be reminded of the reasons, there have been so many scarfices made by so many. BLESS YOU FOR THIS TRIBUTE

There are just so many things to think about what happened to this nation and our people that day. So many emotions it evokes. There are still times I have to look away for not wanting to face the realities it all brought. I can’t help but want to search for some goodness in it, and it is found in people like your cousin. The honor and bravery that is found in simple gestures of those who sought to take one second to bring peace or comfort while sharing such tragedy. I can’t even find words to honor those who took back their destiny from the clutches of an ideology intent on causing their painful demise as they fell to Grace.

But Sally is right, there is so much more to do to ensure that kind of cowardly terrorization of those who reject an archiac and barbaric culture of force not be allowed to destroy our survival. The intent is clearly there and we must not cower to it. Sometimes having an absolute and standing strong and clear to it, not wavering, is the only reasonable option. It is a difficult road they have forced us to walk but walk it we must. As surely as those brave souls who held hands while the innocence of living free of threat fell down upon them.

Those of us left to witness these remembrances must educate ourselves to make certain that kind of thoughtless evil never takes another husband, wife, child, sister, brother, cousin, friend. We must remain resiliant in our rejection of such hate and the propaganda that is arising from it.

Again, like Sally said, God Bless those who continue to fight and seek justice, those that do so without thought to themselves, those that stand between our children and those that would destroy them.

You all might want to take a look at this site. It lists several videos and songs in tribute to our brave patriots.

This is one of the most touching tributes of 911 I have seen. It should be shown at least once a week on America’s TV stations.

Hi all…I want to thank you for sharing such thought provoking and emotional messages with me. Its so strange that something so catastrophic can bring out such hope, love and generosity of spirit in so many people.
I feel blessed to have you all as friends of wendywear. As you can see, I am hoping that it becomes much more than just a clothing site!!!
    Love to you all
